Hotel Monaco Denver: Mile High Boutique Chic

Seeking a stylish place to sleep in Denver? Then check out Hotel Monaco. With the scent of flowers wafting through the air and the mellow beat of eclectic lounge music filling your ears, this hip retreat in the heart of the city is filled with designer flare. Just steps away from the bustling shopping and dining district of 16th Street Mall, the hotel’s lobby houses shelves of graceful ceramics and is populated with contemporary furniture in bold colors juxtaposed with a western theme (think modern leather chairs with horse stirrups hanging from the arms). All this is set beneath a star painted ceiling hung with a Moroccan-inspired globe chandelier.

Cowboy Chic: Wild West Meets Modern Style
This is the fourth Hotel Monaco I’ve stayed at, each with its own theme. For Denver, the vibe is cowboy chic. Cows are featured throughout the hotel from cow-print bedding and fabrics to cow-inspired artwork. Perhaps most entertaining is the life-sized cow statue looming beside the elevators, greeting everyone on the way to and from their rooms.

Goldfish Chocolates Beside Broncos-Inspired Pillows
The guest rooms are as trendy as the lobby with geometric retro carpets and stylized lamps, alongside brightly patterned furniture and curtains in cool contrasting fabrics and colors, like teal and orange set next to cow print throws and Broncos-inspired pillows. Plus there are fun little touches like goldfish shaped pillow chocolates and retro rotary telephones in the hallways.

Amenities, Amenities, Amenities!
Hotel Monaco is pet-friendly, and everyone gets their very own pet goldfish too! Plus the hotel’s service is impeccable, and includes super cool amenities like a complimentary wine hour daily in the lobby as well as complimentary items you may have forgotten, ranging from smart phone power chargers to contact solution or anything else you left behind. Plus wi-fi is free and sparkling cucumber water is available 24-7 in the lobby.

Panzano: Gourmet Dining Downstairs
It’s very convenient having one of Denver’s best restaurants right downstairs. A culinary stop unto itself, award-winning Panzano serves up Northern Italian fusion fare with inventive zest while maintaining a commitment to sustainability. Chef Elise Wiggins crafts unforgettable dishes like the popular Cavolini di Bruxelles, Gnocchi al Coniglio and Capesante.
Check back for our review of Panzano later this week.
